October = Breast Cancer Awareness

As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Thousands of women (and men) are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and not everyone survives the process of beating the cancer. It's important to give yourself a monthly breast exam, and when the time is right, to get regular mammograms.

As someone with a close family member who had breast cancer and is still dealing with other illnesses, it's important to me to raise awareness and contribute any way that I can while getting others involved as well.

For the entire month of October, 100% of any items with pink crystals, pearls, or gemstones will be donated to the Susan G. Komen organization.

you get the picture :) if there's pink, all the proceeds will be donated :) In addition to that, 40% of any other purchases (not containing any pink) will be donated. Any new items that are added to my shop will also count - I have a number of necklaces and Victorian style earrings that will be posted soon!

I hope that I can get your support for a worthwhile cause, and get a piece of jewelry for yourself or for a friend. I'm more than happy to work on an order outside of Etsy, if you just want a direct invoice instead of having to register on the site - whatever will make the process easier for you :)

I adore tea - and now that the weather is cooling off, I'm more inclined to indulge in a cup (or three!) during the day. I've put together a little collection of earrings inspired by my love of tea...

A little gold in the air

Summer may be fading, but these golden wings will remind you that another summer isn't far away...

Golden chalcedony briolettes hang from gold earring hooks to create a delightful pair of earrings. Like little flower petals or butterfly wings, they add a punch of color wherever they go.

Earrings measure 1.00 inch from top of earring hook to bottom of lowest stone.

The Haven Collection

Inspired by my favorite summer getaway, all of these pieces reflect the calm atmosphere and gorgeous blue-green water of the islands. It's a place where all your worries disappear, where you never wear a watch, and you sit on the sand and watch the waves lazily lap against the sandy shore.
